Dr Phil Boulton

Dr Phil Boulton is our principal dentist. Phil was born in Sydney. He grew up in Christchurch, NZ and spent five years studying at Otago University before moving back to Australia. Phil graduated from the new dental program at Griffith University QLD in 2008. Phil has continued to broaden his extensive skills whilst working hands on for QLD health, and then moving into a private practice on the Gold Coast. Phil's genuine passion for dentistry has been the driving force behind his furthered education. His love of dentistry includes educating others, as well as himself with the most modern techniques available. Phil has travelled extensively to the US and North America, to fulfil his passion in implantology and more recently - orthodontics. On a personal note, Phil and Jo relocated to Nambour four years ago to raise their family. They have two sons, William - 4yrs and Henry 2 yrs old and they are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their third little baby. Phil and Jo both enjoy being involved themselves within the Sunshine Coast community. |
Dr Christine Farrelly

Dr Christine Farrelly is our Senior Associate Dentist. Christine grew up on the Sunshine Coast, graduating from Siena Catholic College. She completed a degree in Biomedical Science at UQ before graduating from the Griffith Dental School with Honours in 2013. Before joining the team at Gentle Dental she worked for the Royal Flying Doctors Service. As part of the RFDS mobile dental unit she helped provide comprehensive dental care to rural and remote townships. Christine’s passion to learn more about orthodontics and complex restorative treatment drew her back to the Sunshine Coast. Dr Christine knows that not everyone loves coming to the Dentist as much as she does! She will take the time to explain your treatment options in a friendly and relaxed manner. Dr Niamh McGirr |
Dr Niamh McGirr recently moved to the Sunshine Coast from Ireland, in search of some sun! Niamh grew up in County Tyrone and studied Dentistry at Queen's University Belfast, graduating in 2017. Niamh also has a Certificate in American Business from NCC, a college in Chicago where she studied in 2015/16. Niamh has spent the last year working as a dentist in a small fishing town back home and recently volunteered on the Mercy Ship in Guinea, Africa, providing emergency dental treatment to people with no access to healthcare. Dr Niamh believes every dental appointment should have zero stress and connects with all of her patients to ensure their experience is both comfortable and relaxed. She enjoy all areas of dentistry and treating patients of all ages and is passionate about treatments being minimally invasive. Outside of the dental world Niamh's favourite thing to do is travel and bake - all sugar free of course! Niamh also enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the beach. |
Dr Patrick Hutchinson |
Dr Patrick Hutchinson grew up in Brisbane and completed his dental degree at Griffith University in 2016, after graduating from pharmacy at the Queensland University of Technology in 2010.
Before joining the team at Gentle Dental, Pat worked as a pharmacist in Brisbane in addition to studying dentistry and providing dental care in the public health system on the Sunshine and Gold Coasts. Pat is a caring and friendly dentist who places the utmost importance on making patients comfortable during dental procedures. Patrick has a keen interest in preventative dentistry and hopes to provide his patients with knowledge that helps to maintain lifelong dental health. Outside the clinic, Patrick enjoys cycling, travelling and fishing. |
