Crowns & Bridges
A crown may be suggested when we need to make an existing tooth stronger. This may be the case on teeth that have been heavily filled, teeth that have had previous endodontic treatments done on them, or teeth that are deemed to be structurally unsound. A crown uses your existing tooth as a base.  A special 'cap' is then made for over the top of this tooth which creates a much stronger, more robust tooth structure.

A bridge uses the same principals as a crown but can also be used to bridge a gap when you have a missing tooth. This is done by 'capping' the two teeth on either side of the gap and then creating a false tooth between the two. This is all made as one structure that slots over the two teeth.  This is called a Bridge.

Implants
An implant may be suggested when you have lost a tooth, or the existing natural tooth is deemed to be unsalvagable.
